Analogy is basically a comparison between two different elements, showing their similarities. There are TWO different types of analogy
Logical analogy
This focuses on using the word "Therefore"...
Example 1:
"If A is B
and C is A
Therefore, B is C"
Example 2:

Analogy can further be divided into two
Simile
This is used by using the word "like" or "as" and are mostly used by poets. This is done by saying one thing is LIKE another different thing.
Example 1:
"His skin was as cold as ice"
"The fought like cats and dogs"
Metaphor
This is saying that one thing IS another thing.
Example 1:
"Her home was her prison"
Example 2:
"He is such a cow"
