METHODS OF CREATIVE THINKING (1112703267)

What is mind map?

Mind map is a useful and essential tool used to generate ideas or to solve problems. It maps out your ideas. Mind maps have a standard structure, where ideas are branched out from a single topic/subject. Lines, colours, images and symbols are vastly used when creating a mind map as visual elements help to stimulate the mind, and some are visual learners. In stage, the next word must have a connection to the preceding one.

There are two types:

Logical Mind Map is associated directly to stereotypes. Therefore, every word is directly related to the central topic/subject.

Associated Mind Map involves generating random words from the topic/subject. The words linked are not obliged to link to one another.

What is stereotype?

In my opinion, stereotype is defined as an idea or perception of a thing or person. This idea/perception is oversimplified; therefore it is often far away from the truth. Villagers are often accused has being stereotypical towards certain issues. An example would be, when a person is dressed in black from head to toe, people regard that person as a sad and depressing individual, even though the person may actually be the total opposite.
